Nearly half of car seats are installed or used incorrectly, per NHTSA's national study. I'm a nationally certified car seat technician — I install to the manufacturer's spec, verify angle, tightness, and belt path, then teach you the checks so you can trust it yourself. Every install is documented in writing, with photos.
“The free clinic can't see me before my due date.”
Fire-station checks are excellent — and they book weeks out, rotate which technician you get, and mean driving there with a newborn. I come to your driveway the same week, and you keep the same technician on every visit as your kids grow.
“My detailer won't even touch the car seat.”
Most detailers decline car seats outright — and those who don't often clean them with the same chemicals they use on your carpets. Manufacturers prohibit that for a reason: harsh cleaners can degrade the harness and webbing and quietly compromise the seat in a crash. We clean to your seat's manual, then reinstall and verify the fit.
“How dirty can a car seat really be?”
Researchers found children's car seats carry roughly twice the germs of the average toilet — E. coli and salmonella included. Snacks, spit-up, and a harness full of crevices add up. We strip, wash, sanitize, and reassemble the seat by the book — and the rest of the cabin can get its reset in the same visit.

About The Forge
A certified car seat tech. A mobile rig. A Towson parent who got tired of free clinics that booked weeks out.
I'm a nationally certified Child Passenger Safety Technician and a Towson parent. I started The Forge because the free car seat clinics in our county—while excellent—book weeks out, require driving with a newborn, and rotate which technician you get.
There had to be a better option for families who'd rather pay for time and certainty than spend a Saturday at the fire station. The Forge is that option. Same certified tech every visit. Same-week appointments. Bundled cleaning so your car is ready for the baby, not just safe.
